On Saturday, August 25, 2018, we will celebrate the 170th anniversary of the women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York in 1848 and the 98th anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (woman suffrage) 1920.

Dr. Leverty’s talk, “Women on the Run: Changing the Face of Elected Office”, will address the much discussed phenomenon of record numbers of women running for elected office this fall and its significance on both the national and local level.
